Ilztal (Ilz Valley) Bicycle PathThere is a bicycle path thru the Ilz Valley between Dissensteiner Mill in the community of Saldenburg and the Ettl Mill in Grafenau's community, which is 18 kilometers long and presents a fantastic view of the natural riverside of the region. There is a connection between Grafenau using the MTB 80 from the Ettl Mill.
The Ilz Valley Altitudinal Bike Path
This bicycle loop trail let's you explore the higher levels of the Ilz Vally. It is about 40 kilometers long and uses seldom used side roads passing through the Ilz Valley's natural and cultivated landscapes, starting in Passau, continuing through Ruderting to Kalteneck and back via Lenzersdorf, Hötzdorf, Strasskirchen and Salzweg back to the starting point.

The Ilz - Danube Bike PathThe Ilz - Danube Bike Path (a former railway route) leads through the idyllic landscape of the southern Bavarian Forest from Hengersberg to Kalteneck/Hutthurm for 46 kilometers. On this route, the cyclists are spared from any traffic and can discover the “Drei Burgenland” (Three Castle Country) from a totally new perspective.The route leads from the Danube in Niederaltaich (near Deggendorf) over “Sonnenwald” and “Drei Burgenland” (Three Castle Country), finally through the romantic Ilz Valley and ends at Kalteneck/Hutthurm. Flat stretches alternate with gentle inclines and descents, so that even untrained cyclists can enjoy experiencing the southern Bavarian Forest anew.
